چکیده

In order to determine the antibodies levels against Bovine Herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) and associated risk factors in unvaccinated dairy herds of tropical wet weather Ecuador, an investigation was carried out thirteen production units (PU), Chone Canton, Province Manabí. The sample size calculate by cluster sampling variables be evaluated were frequency, age, sex, ocular or vulvovaginal lesions, breed PU. One hundred eighty three blood samples taken from jugular caudal vein labeled for transfer laboratory. tubes centrifuged at 3,220 g 15 minutes sera transferred Eppendorf that once stored –20°C until processing. Antibodies HBV-1 measured through competitive ELISA technique, calculated with simples statistical. estimated Odds ratio relative risk, significance level Chi-square. general frequency 58.47 %. According 28.57 % animals under two years old (yr.old) 67.38 cattle over yr.old. males showed 18.18 females 82.61 determined (P<0.05) age a significant 3.31 2.32, respectively. Western lowlands have high BHV-1, yr.old highest presenting infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR).

The primary objective of the present study was to describe aspects of BHV-1 infection and control on Irish farms, including herd-level seroprevalence (based on pooled sera) and vaccine usage. METHODS The characteristics...

Risk factors for bovine herpesvirus-1 seropositivity.

This paper reports the investigation of risk factors for bovine herpesvirus-1-seropositivity, based on a cluster-sample survey of the Belgian cattle population. This serosurvey was carried out in 1998 in 309 randomly selected unvaccinated herds of all types (dairy, mixed and beef) were all bovids (N = 11,284) were sampled. Older and male cattle had higher seroprevalence. Origin (homebred or pur...

Risk factors for Coxiella burnetii antibodies in bulk tank milk from Danish dairy herds

The aim was to identify risk factors associated with Coxiella burnetii antibody positivity in bulk tank milk (BTM) samples from 100 randomly selected Danish dairy cattle herds. Antibody levels were measured by an enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay. Before testing the herds, the farm managers were interviewed about hired labour, biosecurity, housing and herd health during the 12 months prior to ...
